Modern Wi-Fi networks use beamforming, multiple spatial streams, and higher order modulation, such as 256-QAM and 1024-QAM.
In this video blog, we take a look at how this affects the packet capturing process and explain why even a minor change in the antenna position or orientation may have a major impact on reception quality. To illustrated these effects, we’ll use a packet sniffer and analyzer, CommView for WiFi, and a throughput test utility, TamoSoft Throughput Test.
